Thank you to everyone who attended our World Famous VIP Records Music and Mingle fundraiser this past Sunday. It was a great success! The energy in the room, the conversations, and the excitement around this exclusive event were truly inspiring. I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the entire Anderson Family for hosting and for their incredible hospitality making the afternoon special – from Mr. Kelvin Anderson and his sister Lesia sharing their private family history in the music industry, to his daughters Tenisha and Tasha leading guests on private tours, and his granddaughters graciously checking on guests and serving food. They even taught us how to properly load vinyl albums on the turntables! Everything was wonderful!
When we arrived to set up, we were surprised and touched to see that they had already arranged for a local West Long Beach food vendor, StrongBeach Lemonade, to provide homemade hamburgers and all the fixings. Guests were delighted because they were not expecting that. The sliders were delicious, the sides were perfect, and the different flavors of lemonade were a huge hit. The caterer has deep ties to West Long Beach and started his business on the West Side. We are grateful for his support and proud to spotlight a hometown food favorite.
I’d also like to give a shout-out to the shop staff and studio producers who went above and beyond to make sure our guests had an unforgettable recording experience. Special thanks to Lethal – also known as Funky Drummer – for guiding each private recording session. With all the talent in the room, we may have cut a platinum album on Sunday!

If you missed this event, don’t worry. We have four more equally unique events coming up, each one tied to activities our family loves.
IMPORTANT DATE CHANGE!
Our Holiday Wintergreen Centerpiece Workshop was originally scheduled for Sunday, November 30. Several supporters shared that the Thanksgiving holiday weekend made it difficult to attend, so we moved the event just for you. The new date is Saturday, December 13, 2025. More details are below.

Book Signing Meet and Greet

Join us for a book signing meet-and-greet with Mr. David McGill-Soriano, a proud product of West Long Beach and the newly published author of Neighborhood Kid. If you have teenagers or young adults in your life, this could be a life-changing experience to gift them. Guests will receive an autographed hard copy of the book.
Brunch will be served.

Football Season Finale Fundraiser – this is our final event of the year!
Sunday, December 14, 2025 from 2–4 PM at Long Beach Unified Bar & Lounge
This event will be hosted by the all-around mover and shaker, entrepreneur, and our wonderful neighbor, Ms. Robbie Butler. Join us for an open-house-style event that will bring our supporters together to celebrate the 2025 football season for our boys, Jordan (Fresno State) and Koa (St. John Bosco), at the very popular Long Beach Unified Bar & Lounge. This happening venue is owned by former standout athlete Mr. Chuckie Miller who balled out at Long Beach Poly, UCLA, and in the NFL. Long Beach Unified is the perfect spot to close out our year of tailgates, fellowship, and fun. Come watch some football and help us finish our 2025 fundraising efforts strong. Our event is from 2–4 PM, but you are welcome to stay as late as you’d like to enjoy games on the big screens.
Appetizers will be served.
As we get closer to each date, we will send out individual emails with additional information. For now, save the dates—and if any of these events interest you, please make sure to RSVP early.
Thank you again for your continued encouragement, overwhelming generosity, and spirited community support. We are truly grateful.
