WHAT. A. WEEKEND.
From Vivian
Official sample ballots arrived on Friday and the actual ballots hit mailboxes on Saturday which means voting is happening right now.

We had several inspiring meet-and-greets the past few days with more on the calendar this week. We love connecting directly with voters across the district in casual settings where folks are comfortable asking the tough questions. The conversations and the curiosity are giving us the energy we need for the final stretch of this campaign. Here we are at a fun M&G on Cedar Avenue yesterday:

Election Day is 29 days away!
Now more than ever, every conversation, every call, and every door matters.
This campaign is rooted in the men and women from labor who support our working class community. I am so grateful to the labor unions who are organizing phone banks and canvas days to fight for our community. The members who show up, roll up their sleeves, and help us reach voters mean so much to me. That kind of support is powerful, and it’s personal.

As a longstanding union member, I know what it means to stand up for working people. That is why I am incredibly proud to have the support of a broad coalition of labor organizations like:
ILWU International, its Locals and Affiliates (including 10, 13, 19, 23, 29, 54, 56, 63, 65, 94, 142) and the ILWU Southern California District Council
LA County Federation of Labor and LA/OC Building Trades
Teamsters Joint Council 42
IBEW Locals 11 & 47 and Operating Engineers Local 12
LiUNA Local 1309 and IAM District Lodge 947
UA Plumbers Local 78, Steamfitters Local 250, and Sprinkler Fitters Local 709
SMART Local 105 and Pipe Trades District Council No. 16
Western States Regional Council of Carpenters and Painters District Council 36
Long Beach Firefighters Local 372 and the Long Beach Police Officers Association
Teachers Association of Long Beach, LBCC Faculty Association, and LBCC Classified Staff
SEIU Local 721 and UNITE HERE Local 11
This level of labor support means something. It reflects trust, shared values, and a commitment to fighting for working families across our city.
We are not slowing down.
