The day many of you have been asking about is finally here. Our first official Community Walk Day will take place this Saturday, April 11, with a second walk day the following Saturday, April 18. Join us for one — or both — as we canvass neighborhoods across District 7.
My family, friends, and I have already been walking our neighborhoods and connecting with residents, but these are our first open calls for community volunteers to join us. We’re excited to take this next step together.
WALK DAY SCHEDULE (Both Saturdays)
9:00–9:30 AM Kickoff & Training (breakfast will be provided)
9:30–11:30 AM Community Walk
11:30 AM–12:00 PM Debrief & Lunch

SATURDAY, APRIL 18
El Esquite, 2533 Santa Fe Avenue
On both days, volunteers will be dispatched in teams to walk different neighborhoods throughout District 7. An experienced walk leader will go over the basics at 9:00 AM sharp! Walk teams will include both first-time walkers and experienced walkers. Everyone is welcome.
Everything you need will be provided. No experience is necessary. Spanish speakers are especially encouraged to join us, and we will assign Spanish-speaking households as needed. No one walks alone.
If you’ve never participated in a campaign walk before, it’s actually a lot of fun. You’ll be connecting with neighbors, sharing information about the campaign, and helping us spread the word throughout the community. Family, friends, and community members are all welcome.
