Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Equestrian Meet & Greet, beautifully hosted by my dear friend, Renee Lawler. It was wonderful to spend time with horse and stable owners, sharing meaningful conversations with neighbors who understand how important it is to preserve this legacy community in Long Beach. I’m incredibly grateful to Renee for organizing such a successful event and for her continued support and endorsement.
One of the things that makes Long Beach City Council District 7 so special is that it spans both sides of the LA River and the 710 Freeway — from heritage-rich Wrigley on one side to the vibrant and historic Westside on the other. Our campaign is proud to be building support across the entire district, bringing together longtime residents, new neighbors, community leaders, and small businesses.

Our next event will be held at one of my kids’ favorite Westside restaurants — the unique and community-minded 5000 Pies on Santa Fe Avenue. You’ll be hearing more next week about what makes them so special and the important difference they make in Long Beach. You’ll also be introduced to their award-winning chef, Michael Martinez.
For now, please save the date! We’ll be celebrating Democracy & Dough on Presidents’ Day with a special pizza-making fundraiser that will be fun for the whole family. Click on the flyer below to RSVP because space is limited.

Thank you again for your continued support as we bring neighbors together from every corner of District 7. I’m truly energized by this growing movement and grateful to be on this journey with you.
Sincerely,
Vivian Malauulu
