Today is the last day to RSVP for Flowers & Friendship
From Margaret Rose
My name is Margaret Rose, and I have been a proud Wrigley resident since 1978. I am also a floral artist, and my floral business began in 1980 with our shop “Rainbows” in The Marketplace Shopping Center in East Long Beach. Years later, I opened a small floral and antique boutique in Bixby Knolls, which I operated from 1997 to 2001. Over the years, I have built a deep and loyal clientele from all over, specializing in high-end, unique floral arrangements. Many of my clients have returned to me for decades, and I take great pride in the quality, creativity, and craftsmanship of every piece I design.
I first met Vivian in 2016 when one of my clients ordered a special floral arrangement to be delivered to her home the day after she was elected to the Long Beach City College Board of Trustees. We chatted briefly then, and I was struck by how down-to-earth and humble she was. We have been friends ever since. Soon after, she became my client. She has ordered various pieces from me and I have created unique arrangements for her family, friends, and home. She’s also commissioned me to make headpieces, corsages, and boutonnières for her children and their friends.
When she called to share that she was running for City Council, I was delighted. I have watched the work she does in our community, in our neighborhood, at the college, and in her union. I know she will bring that same passion, dedication, and effectiveness to City Hall on behalf of West Long Beach.
I offered to support her through my floral business, specifically by hosting a workshop fundraiser—and I am very proud to say that we are making it happen this Saturday.
I have always enjoyed teaching others how to create floral arrangements and plant designs, and recently I partnered with Wrigley Coffee to host hands-on workshops right here in our community.
Vivian has graciously opened her home and is providing brunch for all participants. I will be providing all supplies, and together we will create beautiful art. The suggested contribution for this event is $150, which supports her campaign and covers the cost of the flowers. The centerpiece you will take home will be crafted with premium winter greens and high-quality foliage.
I hope you will join us on Saturday. Today is the final day to RSVP because I need to finalize the shopping for the workshop. It will be a wonderful day of creativity, learning, community conversation, and meaningful support for Vivian’s campaign.
You will leave with a stunning holiday centerpiece—crafted by you—that you can proudly display at home or at your business. You will also learn practical tips on pairing plants, arranging florals, and designing balanced pieces.
I truly hope to see you on Saturday. Please remember: today is the last day to RSVP by clicking the flyer below.

Warmly,
Margaret Rose
