Three Exciting Updates

From Vivian

I’m delighted to share these updates with you:

1. We are officially on the ballot!

I submitted my nomination papers and have been officially approved by the City Clerk as a candidate for Long Beach City Council District 7. After months of campaigning, gathering signatures, and working through the process, it is a huge milestone to receive the official certification that I will appear on the ballot for the June 2 election.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible. Here I am all smiles the day I picked up my nomination papers back in February and then the day I submitted them earlier this week.

2. One planned and one spontaneous event this weekend!

One…some of my childhood friends and classmates organized a join happy hour tonight for me and my dear friend Dr. Ayanna Davis (Banning c/o ‘88), who is running for State Assembly.

If you have connections to the schools we attended and neighborhoods where we grew up, we’d love to see you at the Scoreboard Lounge in the Carson DoubleTree Hotel. This is a very last minute get together organized by our village to celebrate the nomination period ending today both of us getting on the ballot this week!

2b. An event reminder!

A reminder about Brunch on the Bluffs tomorrow (Saturday) at the iconic San Pedro home of Harbor Commissioner Diane Middleton. Thank you to everyone who has already RSVPd it will be a great event with highs in the 70s…perfect for the amazing views of the harbor!

3. Meet & Greet season is in full swing!

We continue to have incredible gatherings throughout District 7. Thank you to everyone hosting and scheduling opportunities for me to meet your neighbors.

I’d like to send a huge shout-out to my baddie friend Bobbi for organizing the fantastic “Wrigley Women Wine Not Whine” night with nearly 30 neighbors. That’s our biggest Meet & Greet yet! From that one gathering, several additional events have been scheduled. We remembered to take a photo a bit late so here are the last ones standing!

With 87 days until Election Day, we are moving full speed ahead. If you’re interested in hosting a meet-and-greet in your neighborhood, please reach out — we’d love to add you to the calendar.

Thank you all for your continued support.

We’re officially on the ballot, we’re putting the fun in FUNdraisers, and the momentum is growing.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Sincerely,

Vivian Malauulu

Candidate for Long Beach City Council, District 7
